Sharing Defined STEM Tasks Using Social Media, Student Codes and URLs
Defined STEM provides three methods in which to share tasks with students. These methods can be found in the Task Center and allow users to share tasks with students via short URLs, Student Codes or on Social Media.
Sharing from the Task page:
Click on the “Assign” tab at the top of the page.
Share the Student Share Link by placing the link shown into any LMS, Webpage, Email, Social Network, Document, etc. Students will be brought directly into the desired task.
The task can be shared using the social media links located just below the student share link.
Tasks can be added to folders by clicking on the “Add Task to Folder” button
Click on the “New Folder” button to add the task to a new folder. Then enter a name for the new folder, click the “Create” button and the task will be added to the newly created folder.
Click on the “Existing Folder” button, select the desired folder from the dropdown and click the “Add” button to add the task to an existing folder.
Tasks can be shared with teachers by clicking on the “Share with Teachers” button.
Tasks can be shared or un-shared with a group by clicking the group share toggle. All members of the group can access shared content.
Share the Teacher Share Link by placing the link into any LMS, Webpage, Email, Social Network, Document, etc. Teachers will be brought directly into the desired task.

Sharing a Task:
Click on the Resource name link or the green “Task Options” button for the desired task.
The task option window will appear with options for customizing and/or sharing the desired task.
Click on the green “Share/Assign to Students” button located in the task options overlay.
You will be taken to the task page, follow the above instructions to share from the task page.
Sharing a Folder:
Click on the “Task Folders” button in the button list to the left.
Select the folder that you would like to share.
Click on the “Folder Options” button in the top right of the folder window.
Select “Share/Assign Folder to Students” from the dropdown
Share the student URL by placing the URL shown into any LMS, Webpage, Email, Social Network, Document, etc. Students will be brought directly into the desired folder.
